Collegeville's Margaritas Offers Taco Gigante Initiative To Fight Breast Cancer

Portions of proceeds from every behemoth Taco Gigante dish will go toward charity during a month-long celebration of National Taco Day.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA -- The Collegeville branch of Mexican restaurant Margaritas will celebrate National Taco Day throughout October with a charitable initiative centered around one of their largest menu items.

For every purchase of the Taco Gigante, $1.00 will go toward the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative.

The two-pound taco is described by the restaurant in this manner: "Start with a made in-house hard-shell taco, bigger than your face. Stuff it with all of the fresh-made Mexican fixings from Margaritas scratch-kitchen: seasoned chicken, taco beef, pork carnitas, bacon, lettuce, refried beans, Mexican rice, salsa fresca, cheese and queso sauce. Top it with hacienda and picante sauce, crema and pickled jalapeños and you’ve got the Taco Gigante."
