Saturday, May 13th at 3:30PM 2nd Annual Joel’s Fried Gold Fest
To celebrate the life of beloved Colonial host/volunteer Joel Rickenbach, the theater presents the 2nd Annual Joel’s Fried Gold Film Fest! From 3:30-11:00PM, the Colonial’s big screen will play host to three of Joel’s favorite films, or as he referred to them, slices of fried gold: the awesome family-friendly comedy The LEGO Movie at 3:30PM, Sam Peckinpah’s infamous Western The Wild Bunch at 5:30PM, and the Academy Award-winning film noir classic L.A. Confidential at 8:30PM. This is a FREE event and all are welcome. The theatre does request contributions to the Rickenbach Family Fund in lieu of admission prices. The LEGO Movie: Rated PG. 100 minutes. Digital projection. The Wild Bunch: Rated R. 145 minutes. 35mm projection. L.A. Confidential: Rated R. 138 minutes. 35mm projection.

ELP founding member and drum legend Carl Palmer will be rockin’ the Colonial with his revelatory tribute to his late bandmates Keith Emerson and Greg Lake. Voted one of the Greatest Drummers of All Time by Rolling Stone, Palmer is also a founding member of rock supergroup Asia. Since 1960s, he has sold over 50 million records and is currently celebrating his 50th year in music! Reserved tickets: $44.50 to $29.00, non-refundable. Saturday, May 20 at 8:00PM The Mads are Back! Live Movie Riffing with Frank Conniff and Trace Beaulieu
Join Mystery Science Theater 3000 alumni Frank Conniff (TV’s Frank) and Trace Beaulieu (Dr. Clayton Forrester and the voice of Crow T. Robot) as they screen some of the worst movies ever made and riff, or comedically make fun of, them live in the same style as the Peabody Award-winning TV series. The Mads will riff both a short and feature-length film followed by an audience Q & A. There will also be Meet & Greet opportunities before and/or after the show.
