Crowded Castle Brewery Opens In Phoenxiville

More big beer news out of Phoenixville: Crowded Castle is officially open.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The craft beer revival in Phoenixville is becoming more of a craft beer dynasty. Just as it was announced that Conshohocken Brewing Company, one of the region's major microbreweries, was planning a new taproom on Bridge Street, another local brewery opened its doors: Crowded Castle Brewing.

Crowded Castle has long existed as a craft beer distributor, but all that changed when they announced last July that they had signed a lease for a taproom in the Steel City.

The brewery was opened on Memorial Day, and will have hours of 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, 3 p.m. to midnight on Friday, noon to midnight on Saturday, and 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. It will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The new brewery is located on 242 Bridge Street, in the heart of downtown.

Crowded Castle adds to a fledgling local craft beer scene in the Phoenixville area, which already includes Iron Hill, Stable 12, and Sly Fox, plus Conshohocken Brewing Company and The Foodery.
