December Cult Cinema at Phoenixville's Colonial Theatre

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Edward Scissorhands and Scream are scheduled to hit the big screen in Phoenixville in December.

The pair of classic films highlight the Colonial Theatre's Cult Cinema programming for December.

Here's what the theatre has to say about their offerings:

• Wes Craven's 1996 fright-fest is not so much a parody as it is a clever love letter to horror films and genre clichés. A bunch of teens must call upon their knowledge of scary flicks to battle Ghostface (the killer, not the rapper). Stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette. Great score by Marco Beltrami, too. Rated R. 111 min. Howling good digital presentation.

• Where does snow come from? This offbeat 1990 romantic fantasy about an artificial man whose hands are scissors reveals the answer. Ideal Tim Burton material for his first collaboration with Johnny Depp. Heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. With Dianne Wiest, Winona Ryder, Alan Arkin, and, in his final screenappearance, the legendary Vincent Price. Rated PG-13. 105 min. Shear digital beauty.
