Wawa has applied to sell beer throughout Delaware County, according to a Philly.com report.

Representatives recently appeared before the Concord Township Board of Supervisors to request approval to sell beer at the Naamans Creek Road Wawa in Chadds Ford, the report states.

Residents have expressed concern that beer sales could lead to unwanted activities like loitering, according to the report.

The Chadds Ford store would become the first location in Pennsylvania to sell beer, the report states, as Wawa presently only sells beer in a few Florida and Virginia locations.

A separate 400-square-foot space would be added to the Chadds Ford Wawa to sell the beer, according to Main Line Media News.
