Digital Media Sunday

It's "bring your smartphone or iPad to church" day!

On July 9th, First Presbyterian Church's 10:30 a.m. service will be dedicated to taking church-goers to the digital frontline. Worshipers and visitors are invited and encouraged to bring their smart phones or iPads to church for use during the service. The goal is to help attendees have a better understanding of social media apps - Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Plans are also set for offline participation for those who prefer to be device-free for the service.

To prepare, some quick informative videos are posted on First Presbyterian's website for the installation of the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram applications. In addition, staff members will be at church starting at 10 a.m. on the 9th to assist anyone who might need help with set-up on their smartphone or iPad.

Everyone in attendance on Sunday will have the opportunity to be an ambassador for the church in spreading God's Word by engaging, communicating, collaborating, and connecting with others around the world in an instant! The church has elected to use #(hashtag)lovingFPC to identify and track all posts for the day and future use. So, point, click, learn, and share - #lovingFPC!
