Don't Forget: Phoenixville Community Health Leadership Academy Now Open

The Phoenixville Community Health Leadership Academy is now in its 14th year.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA For the 14th year in a row, the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation has funded a program called the Community Health Leadership Academy, which helps to identify, train and empower Phoenixville regional citizens for leadership roles that promote the community’s health and advance the quality of life, a press release states.

This program is geared toward community volunteers and helps to give them a deeper understanding about their community’s assets, strengths, challenges and needs, all while helping them develop leadership skills that will enable them to affect positive change in the community, according to the press release.

The curriculum covers diversity issues, community collaborations, communication and branding, project planning, good citizenship, ethics, public speaking and much more, the Foundation said. The curriculum wraps up with each student designing and implementing a community service project as a service-learning tool.
