Don't Forget: Road Closures Announced In Phoenixville, Across Chester County

Road closures for construction and repairs have been announced across Chester County.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that lane restrictions are scheduled on Pawling Road in Schuylkill Township, Coldstream Road in Charlestown and East Pikeland townships, and Charlestown Road/Bridge Street in Charlestown and Schuylkill townships, and Phoenixville Borough, Chester County, on Monday, November 9, through Friday, November 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for the installation and replacement of raised pavement markers.

The reflective markers, installed along center lines, edge lines and ramps, will improve visibility and safety for drivers at night and in bad weather such as rain, fog and snow. The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:

Lane restrictions are scheduled on Pawlings Road between Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) and the Montgomery County line in Schuylkill Township. Traffic will be controlled by flagging;

Lane restrictions are scheduled on Coldstream Road between Route 113 (Pike Springs Road) and Charlestown Road in Charlestown and East Pikeland townships. Traffic will be controlled by flagging; and

Lane restrictions are scheduled on Charlestown Road between Route 29 (State Road) and Route 23 (Nutt Road) Charlestown and Schuylkill townships, and Phoenixville Borough. Traffic will be controlled by flagging.

During installation, crews will occupy one lane to conduct a slow-moving operation. Motorists are advised to be alert of this moving operation and to expect possible slowdowns when driving near work crews.
