Katharine Styn, 92

Katharine (Hodyk) Styn, 92, wife of the late Nicholas Styn, of Plymouth Meeting, PA, died on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA.

Born in Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Stefan and Maria (Labay) Hodyk.

She attended Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Phoenixville, PA.

Surviving are:Daughter, Oksana Winter; Daughter, Orysia Hewka and husband Peter; Daughter, Marusia Dombchewsky and husband Leo; Daughter, Nadia Charnick and husband Robert; Daughter, Jaroslava Lonchyna and husband Rev. Taras; 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren; Sisters, Anna and Slava in Ukraine.

Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church Fairview & St. Mary's Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA

A viewing will be held in the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated for: Ukrainian Catholic Sobor - Cathedral in Kyiv, Ukraine; Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Ukraine; or Ukrainian Radio Program of the UECC.

Edward R. Stone, 90

Edward R. Stone, 90, husband of the late Evelyn (Wronker-Flatow) Stone, of East Coventry, passed away at his home on Friday, May 4, 2012.  The son of the late Rear Admiral Charles E. Stone and Mary Bernice (Clark) Stone, Ed was born in Oakland, California but grew up in Hawaii.

He was employed as a civilian ship builder during the attack at Pearl Harbor.  Ed also served in the United States Army, stationed in Korea, before the Korean War.  He was a graduate of the University of Michigan and Columbia University.  He received his Waldorf School teaching credentials at Emerson College in England.

Ed swam the backstroke, butterfly and crawl for the United States Olympic team during the 1948 Summer Olympics, making it to the finals.  He also held three world records in diving.

Mr. Stone was employed as a teacher for The Kimberton Waldorf School and The Hill School.  A consummate teacher and storyteller, Ed also taught in Israel, England, California and Michigan.

Mr. Stone is survived by his daughters, Fiona Michaela Havlish, of Boulder, Colorado and Michele Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Schnabel, of Rochester, Vermont; and five grandchildren, Sean Bitterman, Lea Bitterman, Michaela Havlish, Tyler Schnabel and Eric Schnabel.

Ed’s funeral service with eulogy will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at 3:00 pm at the Rose Hall, Camphill Village Kimberton Hills, 1601 Pughtown Road, Kimberton.  The Act of Consecration of Man for the one who has died will be celebrated in the Christian Community Devon Chapel, 212 Old Lancaster Road, Devon, PA, on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 9:00 am.  Memorial Contributions may be made in Ed’s name to The Christian Community, 212 Old Lancaster Road, Devon, PA 19333.  Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc.  Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.

Elizabeth Godri, 92

Elizabeth (Pete) Godri, age 92, wife of the late Charles E. Godri, of Phoenixville, PA died early Thursday morning, May 3rd, 2012 in the Golden Living Center, Phoenixville, PA.  Born in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Gombos) Pete.  She attended the Phoenixville High School.  Mrs. Godri worked at the Parson and Baker knitting company in Phoenixville.  She was a member of the Parkside United Church of Christ, Phoenixville, PA.

Mrs. Godri is survived by two children:  Charlotte E., wife of Charles Foy, of Georgia, Edward C., husband of Mary (Foy) Godri, of Harding, PA;  one sister: Esther O'Leary, of Royersford, PA; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside service at the St. Ann's Cemetery, 300 West Pothouse Road, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, May 8th, 2012 at 10:30 AM.  Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. F. Virginia R. (Moore) Mallatratt, 73

Virginia R. (Moore) Mallatratt, age 73, wife of Richard "Donald" Mallatratt, of Reading, PA, formerly of Limerick, PA died Saturday afternoon, April 28, 2012 in her home.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Raymond T. and Ruth V. (Bennett) Moore.  Mrs. Mallatratt worked in the  dispatch office for the Oehlert Brother's Heating and Cooling in Royersford for over 30 years before retiring in 2003.  She was a very active member of the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Royersford for many years.  She was a member of the Altar Guild and was a Sunday school teacher at the Church.  She was also a member of the "Woman of Epiphany".

In addition to her husband of 53 years, Mrs. Mallatratt is survived by two children:  Patricia A., wife of Kenneth M. Conrad, of Limerick, PA, Andrew D., husband of Sally A. (Kumpf) Mallatratt, of Grassflat, PA; one brother: Ronald T., husband of Joan (Prucker) Moore, of Warminster, PA;  Three Grandchildren: Sonja MacKay, Katelyn Conrad, Jason Conrad, and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Mallatratt was pre-deceased by one grandson: Gregory E. MacKay.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at the Church of the Epiphany, 209 South Third Avenue, Royersford, PA 19468 on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 10:00 AM.  Officiating will be the Rev. Jennie M. Anderson.  Entombment will be in the Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard, Valley Forge, PA.  Friends will be received from 9:00 - 10:00 AM Friday morning at the Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the Church of the Epiphany at the above address or to the St. Jude's Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Condolences may be offered and the video tribute may be viewed by visiting www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com. The Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA is in charge of arrangements.
