Time Magazine recently released its list of the Best Places to Live in 2015 — a ranking of the best small cities in America in which to live based on a series of criteria.
Three Pennsylvania towns cracked the top 50.

Delaware County’s Nether Providence, meanwhile, was ranked 27th, while West Goshen in Chester County led the way for the state, placing 24th.
Population, median income, job growth, median home price and property tax were among the criteria by which each city was evaluated, but factors like historic value and community culture also played a role in the rankings.

But how did Phoenixville compare?
Using the “Compare Your Town” tool, data from any town can be placed side by side against the national average and against the towns that were ranked in the top 50.
Phoenixville’s median home income of $68,180 was well above the national average of $44,749.
Median home price, meanwhile, was similar in Phoenixville compared to the rest of the nation: $200k to $207k.
Projected 5 year job growth was eight percent in Phoenixville versus seven percent in the rest of the country.
And there were significantly less crimes per 1000 people in Phoenixville (16) than in the rest of the nation (44).
