Flash Flood Warning Issued In Chester County, Parts Of Montco
The National Weather Service advises residents to move to higher ground immediately.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A flash flood warning has been declared in Phoenixville and the surrounding area Thursday night as severe storms sweep through the region.
The warning also covers Collegeville, Limerick, and Pottstown, and out into Chester County to the West Chester and Honey Brook area, the National Weather Service said.
Officials advise moving to higher ground immediately and to always avoid driving or walking through flood waters.

The warnings are in place until 7:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., depending on the specific area.
Urban areas and locations near creeks and rivers are especially vulnerable.

Torrential rains had already fallen throughout the area as of Thursday afternoon, with an all time record of 2.40 inches at the Philadelphia International Airport.
