Food Truck Festival Kicks Off Phoenixville Restaurant Week
By James Boyle Get your meals on wheels Saturday as an appetizer for five days of dining excellence at participating restaurants.

Bridge Street will be lined Saturday afternoon with four-wheeled restaurants offering everything from tacos, cheeseburgers and meatballs to cupcakes and donuts.
Oct. 4 is Phoenixville’s annual Food Truck Festival, with an expected crowd between 7,000 to 10,000 hungry foodies anxious to chow down on signature dishes from 20 different vendors. Bridge Street will be closed to parking and traffic between the 100 and 200 blocks on Saturday. The event runs from noon to 6 p.m., with trucks including Just Jackie’s, SumPig, The Cow and the Curd and Jimmie’s Cupcake Company among the scheduled vendors.
The Food Truck Festival will serve as the kick-off party for the borough’s Restaurant Week. Organized by the Phoenixville First group, the week will have at least 10 different establishments serve up prix-fixe menus that include full dinner meals, beginning Oct. 5 and running until Oct. 9. Participating restaurants include Iron Hill Brewery, Black Lab Bistro, and Molly Maguires.
