Former President Of Royersford Fire Department, Tom Cuthbertson, Passes Away At 79
The former President of the Royersford Fire Department was honored by Phoenixville firefighters during a funeral procession Saturday.

ROYESFORD, PA -- Thomas A. Cuthbertson, age 79, husband of the late Eva Jane (Robinson) Cuthbertson, of Royersford, PA, passed away suddenly while volunteering at the Friendship Fire Company on Sunday morning, February 26, 2017. Born on August 15, 1937 in Collegeville, PA, he was a son of the late Allen and Dolores (Walsh) Cuthbertson. He was a 1955 graduate of the Collegeville-Trappe High School. Mr. Cuthbertson worked at Superior Tube in Collegeville. He also worked for over 25 years at CertainTeed in Blue Bell, PA where he established many patents in the trade over the years. Mr. Cuthbertson enjoyed helping family, friends, and enjoyed his many volunteer positions. He served as former President of the Friendship Fire Company and acted as a mentor to many by his volunteerism in many different aspects at the Fire House. Mr. Cuthbertson also enjoyed riding his many motorcycles over the years. The great debates that he was a part of over the years will be discussed for years to come.

Mr. Cuthbertson is survived by Five Children, Allen (Debra) Cuthbertson of Royersford, PA, LuAnne (Richard) Grala of Collegeville, PA, Lorraine (Marty) Moran of Strausstown, PA, Jason Carl of Royersford, PA, Thomas J. (Kimberly) Cuthbertson of Royersford, PA; Thirteen Grandchildren; Eight Great-Grandchildren; Three Sisters: Dolores Stemple, Bernice Shaddock, Mary Ellen Gerstemeier; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Mr. Cuthbertson was pre-deceased by his Daughter, Patricia L. Cuthbertson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10:00 am. Burial will be held in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Friends will be received from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm Friday evening or from 9:00 am - 10:00 am Saturday morning at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to "Royersford Fire Department", 269 Green Street, Royersford, PA 19468 which will be used in the ambulance department to assist those in need that are under-insured.
