Four Chester County Towns Named Among Pennsylvania's 50 Safest
What are the "safest" towns in Chester County?

Four Chester County townships are among the 50 safest in all of Pennsylvania, one new study says.
East Marlborough Township nearly led the all of the state’s safest cities, coming in at second, according to SafeWise, a home security and safety company.
SafeWise created the ranking by using FBI data from all cities with over 5,000 residents, they said. Statistics examined included violent crimes, property crimes, and the crime rate per 1,000 people

Lower Salford was noted for its open public space and and the extra work done by law enforcement:
East Marlborough Township residents work together to make their community an enjoyable place to live. This cooperative spirit carries through to the township’s police officers who work in tandem with the Pennsylvania State Police to keep crime at bay. Their collaborative effort appears to be paying off” East Marlborough Township residents reported no violent crimes and only 12 property crimes to law enforcement.

The township had no violent crimes in 2014.
Overall, Pennsylvania is much safer than the rest of the country, with a crime rate 30 percent lower than the national average, according to FBI data.
