The program lets anyone bike the Schuylkill River Trail from Phoenixville - for free.

Managed by the Schuylkill River Heritage Area, Bike Pottstown/Bike Schuylkill is available to anyone aged 16 or over providing a driver’s license or valid state ID.

Visit one of their locations in Pottstown, Phoenixville and Hamburg and enjoy a free ride on one of their signature yellow cruisers to see what it’s all about.

The program says that their bikes are sturdy, well-maintained, and easy to use.

In Phoenixville, bikes can be signed out of the Community Eco Center on 252 Bridge Street.

Bikes can be taken out for a few hours or for a whole day, but must be returned by the end of the day.

Their hours are noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday.
