Governor Wolf Is Coming To Phoenixville On Tuesday
His stop at a local middle school is part of his "Schools that Teach" tour promoting his education-focused proposed budget.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf will be in Phoenixville on Tuesday, his office announced Monday afternoon.
Wolf’s stop in town is part of his “Schools that Teach” tour, a statewide road trip to talk to residents, teachers, and policy makers at the local level about his 2015-16 budget and legislative priorities.
Wolf’s budget has been much maligned by state Republican lawmakers, particularly ever since Wolf rejected their recent edits and revisions.

Education is one of the hallmarks of Wolf’s budget. It comprises the most controversial piece of his proposed spending plan: a severance tax on natural gas to fund his education initiative.
Under Wolf’s plan, cuts to basic education would be restored, and the state’s share of public education would be increased by 50 percent.

“Governor Wolf is committed to passing a budget that addresses the core issues facing Pennsylvania: a structural budget deficit, a drastically underfunded school system, and rising property taxes for seniors and middle-class families,” his office said in a press release for the event.
Wolf will be making an appearance and a speech at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Phoenixville Area Middle School on 1000 Purple Pride Parkway.
