PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A new outdoor seating area at Great American Pub has been designated "Hawk's House," after a red-tailed hawk landed on a waitress' head. It's now open to the public.

The section has a pergola with hanging greenery, a fountain, and comfortable seating, and is surrounded by regular outdoor tables and the Pub's signature covered tables.

The Pub is taking the recent incident with a sense of humor, calling the now famous hawk "our celebrity raptor."

The recent incident occurred as a waitress stood outside the Pub during her break on April 3.

As police describe the incident, the woman ran back inside the restaurant as the hawk clung to her head. Inside, the hawk departed from its moorings and began flying about the interior of the restaurant.
