The historic Dogwood Festival is entering its 75th year. Here's what you need to know.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The Phoenixville Dogwood Festival is readying for its 75th

The weeklong event of family fun, entertainment, live music, food, contests, and a parade began as a celebration of a donation of dogwood tree seedlings and has since grown into one of the area's most popular events.

The 2018 event will kick off on May 14 and run through May 19. The festival's highlight, the Dogwood Parade, will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 19. The parade will run along Franklin Avenue, Bridge Street, Main Street, and to Reeves Park. This year, a "Performance Area" will be set up near the Colonial Theatre during the parade.
