How Do Phoenixville's Average SAT Scores Stack Up In Chester County?

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- The Pennsylvania Department of Education released the average 2016 SAT scores for schools statewide, and Phoenixville fared very well.

Their average score of 1611 placed them eighth overall in Chester County.

Their Reading average was 546, the Math average was 538, and the writing average was 526.

A total of 182 students were tested throughout the year.

Chester County was led by Downingtown STEM, which averaged 1839, and Conestoga, which averaged 1795. Conestoga was also the top public high school in the region.

In nearby Montgomery County, Lower Merion and Harriton led the way, with average scores of 1766 and 1754, respectively.

The top school in the Philadelphia area - and in the entire state - was Julia Masterman High School in the city, with an average of 1978.
