Human Remains Found In Chester County
The partially decomposed body of a woman was found recently in Chester County. Police have not been able to identify her.
CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The partially decomposed body of a woman was found in a patch of woods in Chester County recently, the District Attorney's Office announced on Friday.
The remains were first discovered on Oct. 29 by local residents near the 500 block of East Glencrest Road in Valley Township.
Despite extensive efforts, authorities have not been able to identify the woman or her cause of death. There were no signs of trauma on her body, police said, and at present, there is "no indication of criminal activity," Valley Township Police Chief Brian Newhall said.

The woman was small in stature, the DA's Office said. They estimated her age at between 16 and 40, and she was either white or Latina.
She was wearing a yellow and gray sweatshirt, and had a tattoo of a ram or the Capricorn symbol on her right hip, photos of which are included above.

She does not match the description of any known missing persons from the Chester County area.
Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the woman so that her family can be notified.
