ICYMI: Phoenixville Named Third Best Place To Raise A Family In PA

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Another list is out, and it’s good news again for the borough.
According to Nerd Wallet, a financial education site, the Steel City is the third best place in Pennsylvania to raise a family.

Jefferson Hills, a suburb of PIttsburgh, took home the top spot.

Phoenixville is in Chester County, about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia. One district is in in the National Register of Historic Places, and it features art galleries, antique stores and restaurants. Residents also have easy access to the Perkiomen Trail, a 19-mile path.
They could have also mentioned the Schuylkill River Trail, which is more immediately accessible.
Nerd Wallet accorded the ranking based on three main criteria: affordability, public school quality, and the growth and trajectory of the town.
It’s not the first time the borough has received this kind of an accommodation from the wide world of online lists.
Last June, Phoenixville was named among the top suburbs to buy a house in Pennsylvania. It came in 58th overall on that list.
Chester County has also been named as one of the happiest places in America.
