Local Bands Compete To Play At Chesco Country Music Festival

Local bands from around the area will compete for the opportunity to play at an upcoming major music festival in Chester County.

The Citadel Country Spirit USA music festival, which will take place at Ludwig's Corner Horse Show Grounds from Aug. 24-26, will crown three winners to perform at the festival. One winner will perform on each day of the festival.

Headliners for the inaugural event include Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, and Alabama. Stars like Trace Adkins, "The Voice" winners Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery, Billboard Top 10 New Artist Brett Young, and number one single singer Tyler Farr are among more than 20 performers.

"Citadel is hosting this contest to recognize local talent from the Greater Philadelphia area," Jeff March, president and CEO, Citadel, said in a statement. "As a community-based organization, it is important to have these rising stars represented at Citadel Country Spirit USA. Our goal is to give local talent the opportunity to shine at this spectacular event."

Contestants should submit video samples of their work before 11:59 p.m. on June 8 (for details see here).
