Mapping Phoenixville's Public Urination Citations

Phoenixville has become one of Chester County’s gems. A thriving downtown features scores of restaurants, bars, dives, and all the culture of a major city in a suburban location.

With the proliferation of bars and establishments that sell alcohol, however, there often come other consequences.

One of them is a higher rate of public urination citations that nearby townships.

Every month, Phoenixville police issue department activity, and public urination is a common offense.

Since February of this year, there have been ten offenses released by the department.

Expectedly, most offenses occur around Bridge Street. In certain cases, individual businesses are targeted by public urination-offenders, such as Philly Pretzel Factory and Save More.

In addition, two incidents of public urination were busted in Municipal Parking #1, which is the lot adjacent to the police station.
