My name is Michael Kuznar and I am running for Borough Council of Phoenixville, PA in the Middle Ward.
A quick Bio about myself:
I'm a small business owner with about four employees that resides in the Middle Ward of Phoenixville. I sit on the Phoenixville Planning Commission, Phoenixville Zoning Committee, previously the Phoenixville redistricting committee and an active member of Phoenixville's Town Watch program (come join us).

I attended Albright College where I majored in Accounting and went to community college to receive my Associates degree in Liberal Studies.
On the Re-districting Committee I worked along members of both party lines to make sure our wards were drawn with only population, registered voters and ward boundaries in mind and not political favor.

As a member of Phoenixville Planning Commission and Phoenixville Zoning Committee I do everything I can to make ease the process of approval or modification of existing structures as it pertains to the expansion of small businesses for the Borough of Phoenixville while keeping in mind the need to preserve open space. I do this with the hopes of encouraging new and small businesses in the Borough.
My main focus as a member of Borough Council will be to help small and new businesses grow to increase revenue for Phoenixville.
My plans for this great borough are as follows:
Town Watch:
Phoenixville Police are doing an excellent job, but they need our help. How often do you read an article about a drug bust or crime committed that includes somewhere in the article "after receiving an anonymous tip". I've been very active in starting Town Watch back up and will do what I can to keep it up and running.
Phoenixville's growing, which is good. But often with growth we see trends in rising crim rates. As citizens, I'd like to see more residents do what they can to help the local law enforcement by reporting suspicious activity in the area.
Criminals get nervous to see police cars, let’s make it so they get nervous when they see anyone in their neighborhood when they're up to no good.
Residents of our great ward need people to park. I feel we need to find a better medium for the residents and the visitors then what we have in place now.
On the same token, I want to develop a comprehensive plan that eases the parking restrictions in the Middle Ward of Phoenixville so it's not so unwelcoming to visitors coming to our great town to spend their money. After enjoying a nice meal in our fine restaurants only to come back and see a ticket on their car is off-putting to a lot of people.
If a family can choose between Collegeville, King of Prussia or even West Chester but picks Phoenixville to wine and dine let’s make them feel welcome rather than having to look at their watch every 30 minutes to make sure they haven't over parked just to go to their car and find they've received a small rectangular parting gift from the borough in their windshield wiper.
