Mont Clare Woman, 94, Passes Away
Mont Clare's Irene King, 94, is remembered for her beautiful smile and love of her family and friends.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Irene M. (Waczkoski) King age 94 of Mont Clare, wife of the late Robert J. King, peacefully departed to join the angels on Saturday, June 17, 2017 in her residence. Born on June 13, 1923 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of Josephine (Olenska) and Adam Waczkoski.

A long time resident of Fairmont, she retired from the Federal Reserve Bank and continued an active social life into her late 80's. Though bedridden for many years, Irene had a beautiful smile that brought joy to everyone who knew her and those who joined in to help with her care. The family gratefully acknowledges those people past and present who became a part of her life including: Evelyn, Katie, Kelli, Kristin, Patty, Sandy and Taryn.
Mrs. King is survived by her family caregivers daughter Joann King and son-in-law Joseph Duke of Mont Clare; sons: Robert King, husband of Barbara, of Malvern and Gregory King, husband of Beth, of Alabama; grandchildren: Christine, wife of Michael Porpora, Stephen King, Deanna, wife of Gerard Campbell, Adam King and Grace King; and great-grandsons: Christian and Tyler Porpora.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 219 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. John Hutter. Interment will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham. Friends will be received from 9:00 - 9:45 am at the Church.
Irene sustained much comfort from the Pink Sisters in Fairmont before moving to Mont Clare. We ask that in lieu of flowers, you give them a donation in her name. Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters, Convent of Divine Love, 22121 Green Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130, www.adorationsisters.com. In memory of her spirit, we ask that those attending the services dress in comfortable colorful attire - more garden party than funeral attire.
