Naked Collegeville Man Masturbated Along 202 Throughout Summer: Cops

A Collegeville man has been arrested after allegedly being caught masturbating while standing naked along the side of the road, the West Goshen Township Police Department said.

Police said that between June 27 and September 9, they received four separate reports of a naked man masturbating near E. Boot Road and Route 202 in the West Chester and West Goshen area.

Due to the concerning reports, police installed multiple cameras in the area which the man was thought to frequent, according to authorities. On August 30, when police received another report, they checked the cameras and were able to find a man that matched the description give in previous incidents.

A white Jeep was also reported to be nearby in some of the cases, and on September 9, when an officer saw a vehicle matching that description in the vicinity which the suspect had been known to use, he investigated, police said.

Gary Reed Hacker, the suspect, briefly fled in his car when he saw the officer approaching, but he got stuck in traffic and was arrested shortly thereafter, authorities said.

He was processed and released on $25,000 bail. His preliminary hearing has been set for September 22.
