New Nature Preserve Opens In Chester County
The French and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust cut the ribbon on their newest piece of preserved land over the weekend.
CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The French and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust cut the ribbon on their newest piece of preserved land over the weekend.
The new attraction, the Thomas P. Bentley Nature Preserve, is located in Glenmoore.
The preserve features a one-mile loop trail to explore, and 108 acres of preserved open space.

"We look forward to offering programs, managing the grounds and future restoration projects to maintain the high water quality, plants and animals that all contribute to this natural treasure," said French and Pickering Conservation Trust Executive Director Bill Gladden.
Thomas Bentley, for whom the Preserve is named, was a long-time supporter of the Conservation Trust.

His son, Ray Bentley, was on hand on Saturday for the ribbon cutting event, which also included guided nature hikes, water quality education, and scavenger hunts.
The new Preserve is on Warwick Furnance Road and Valley Way Road in Glenmoore.
