New Parade Route Announced For Phoenixville Dogwood Festival
The special route will help celebrate Phoenixville's 175th birthday and the fire department's 150th birthday.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The borough of Phoenixville is turning 175, and the Phoenixville Fire Department is turning 150, calling for a very special Dogwood Festival and parade in celebration.
The 81st annual Dogfood Festival will feature a new parade route with additional space to line up parade acts and vehicles. View the route online here.
The new route will run from Smithworks Boulevard along French Creek to Main Street, turning right down Main and past the festivities at Reeves Park to end at 5th Avenue.

You can sign up to participate in the parade here. The "extra long" parade will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
The Festival itself will run from Wednesday, May 14 through Saturday, May 18. Hours will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. during the week, and 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Rides, food, drinks, vendors, music, and various other entertainment highlights the event.
All-you-can-ride wristbands will be available each day for $35, or you can buy a "superband" for the whole festival for $65.
The Dogwood Beer Garden will be set up on 3rd Avenue from Thursday through Saturday.
Much of the festival's activities take place in Reeves Park at the Jaycees Operations Bandshell.
Since 1943, the Dogwood Festival has honored the military with a family fun celebration and the area’s largest parade on Armed Forces Day.
