UPDATE: No Timetable For Phoenixville's Pickering Creek Inn
Shows and events have been rescheduled and relocated, while tenants search for long term lodging elsewhere.
It could be a while.
There is no timetable for the completion of repairs to Phoenixville’s historic Pickering Creek Inn, according to the Daily Local News.
The bar and restaurant, which featured a deck with live music and performances from local artists, was deemed “unfit for human habitation” on Friday, October 2.

Dear our awesome Pickering creek inn customers
We are closed until further notice. We are oldest and most haunted buildings in phoenixville. We are almost 200 years old. Unfortunately father time has wreaked his havoc upon us. Due to structural issues we are closed until repairs are completed. We care too much about our customers and employees safety to remain open while we conquer this problem. Please send good juju and awesome vibes for a quick resolve of this problem. We love all of you and are looking forward to seeing all of our favorite faces soon!

A favorite local haunt, ”The Pick” has been around in one form or another since 1830. Many believe that it was a stop on the Underground Railroad.
Structural issues were discovered by the building’s structural engineer, who then informed the borough, reports state.
It’s not known how long it will take to correct the issues.
On Friday afternoon, construction crews worked to repair issues along the outside of the building.
A note was taped to the inside of the front door window.
“”We are doing everything in our power to resolve this issue,” it read. “We hope to reopen quickly.”
Barktoberfest, a fundraiser event for Phoenixville Animal Rescue which was scheduled on October 2, has been postponed as organizers search for a new location.
The Queenixville Variety Show, meanwhile, has been moved to Molly McGuire’s down the street. It takes place each Monday at 8 p.m.
