Mary Gracia, 83

Mary (Kaminski) Gracia, 83, wife of Joseph J. Gracia of Phoenixville, died on Wednesday evening, Feb. 22, 2012 in the Arden Courts, King of Prussia, PA.

Born in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late Wasyl and Mary (Woloszanski) Kaminski.

Mary was a graduate of Phoenixville High School.

She worked at Chef Francisco (formerly Stouffers Food) in King of Prussia, PA, for 17 years.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church in Mont Clare.

She enjoyed cooking and baking ethnic foods, volunteering at church functions and shopping in Lancaster County.

In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by son Donald and wife Sherry Gracia of East Norriton Township, PA; grandson Drew and wife Kristina Gracia of East Norriton Township, PA; and brother Joseph and wife Catherine Kaminski of Moon Township, PA.

She was preceded in death by brothers Michael, Walter and John Kaminski and sisters Anne Bogda and Sophia Kraynak.

Relatvies and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Devlin Rosmos Kepp and Gatcha Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenxiville, PA on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 at 9:45 a.m. A funeral service will be held in St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, Amelia and Landis Streets, Mont Clare, PA at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. James Badeaux officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Mont Clare.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 9 to 9:45 a.m. A Panachida Service will be held on Monday evening at 7 p.m.

Margaret Regina "Jean" Parker, 89

Jean (McDonough) Parker, 89, Audubon, formerly of Phoenixville, PA, died in her home on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012.

Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Thomas James and Margaret Marcella (Moroney) McDonough.

After graduating from Duquesne University with a bachelor's degree in nursing, she was assistant chief nurse for Aspinwall, VA, hospital.

She moved to Phoenixville with her husband, the late Dr. Albert F. Parker, in 1952. Along with raising her family, she continued her nursing career as directress of nursing at Riverview Hospital in Norristown, which became Suburban General Osteopathic Hospital, and she later taught nursing at the Montgomery County Community College in Norristown until she retired.

Jean's true loves in her life were her family and close friends, and she always thought of others before herself. She was an active member of the Phoenixville Hospital Women's Auxiliary, and she was a member of St. Anne's (and later St. Teresa of Avila) church. 

She is survived by son Jeffry Parker, husband of Katie, of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Janet Parker of Philadelphia and Jill Parker of Philomath, OR; step-son Robert and wife Rosemarie of Newark, DE; step-daughter Jayne and husband Charles of Lewes, DE; grandson Dhan Parker of Philadelphia; nine step-grandchildren, as well as many step-great-grand children and step-great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by three nephews and a niece, Jay Coughlin, Thomas Coughlin, Robert Schooley and Eileen (Schooley) Oehling, who are children of her late sister Elizabeth (Betty) Schooley.

She was also preceded in death by sister, Eileen.

Funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at St. Ann's Chapel, 604 S. Main St., Phoenixville.

There will be a visitation from 12 until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, at Devlin Rosmos Kepp and Gatcha Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 517 S. Main St., Phoenixville..

Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Association, Del. Valley Chapter, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 and/or American Diabetes Association, Greater Philadelphia and Southeastern, NJ, 150 Monument Road - Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.

Gerald Harrison, 73

Gerald L. Harrison, 73, husband of Annette (Adams) Harrison, of Phoenixville, PA passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 22, 2012 in the Manatawny Manor.

Born in Millsboro, DE he was a son of the late G. Frank and Myrtle (Betts) Harrison.

Mr. Harrison was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville. He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, and was captain of the swim team while he attended the University of Delaware.

Mr. Harrison worked as an aerospace engineer with GE, and eventually retired from Lockheed Martin. An Eagle Scout himself, he volunteered much of his time with the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed to go camping and skiing.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, Mr. Harrison is survived by one daughter, Lee Ann, wife of John Leary; one son, Matthew, husband of Brenda Harrison; and four grandchildren, Sean and Colin Leary and Christopher and Anna Harrison.

He was preceded in death by one brother, M. Dale Harrison.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville, 865 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Amy C. Smith. Friends will be received at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville at the address above.

Dolores Stubanas, 81

Dolores B. (White) Stubanas, 81, wife of the late Ralph E. Stubanas, of Mont Clare, PA, died on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 at home.

Born in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy (Burns) White.

Dolores was a graduate of Phoenixville High School.

She loved knitting, cooking, music, and she loved her pets.

Surviving are sons Scott Stubanas and John Stubanas, both of Mont Clare, PA; daughter Diedre Stubanas of Pottstown, PA; and brother Fred White, husband of Esther of Phoenixville, PA.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul White and David White.

Services will be private.

Kathleen Batzel, 72

Kathleen F. (Moore) Batzel, 72, husband of the late Eugene R. Batzel, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 in PhoenixvilleHospital.

Born in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Frances R. (Rhoades) Moore.

Kathleen worked as a Registered Nurse at Phoenixville Hospital.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Phoenixville, PA.

Surviving are daughter Debbie Batzel of Norristown, PA; son Eugene Batzel of Phoenixville; granddaughter, Melissa Batzel, fiancée of Anthony Hilton; great-granddaughters Olivia Hilton and Aubrey Hilton; sister Judy Pinkerton of Glenmoore, PA; and brothers Joseph Moore of Phoenixville and Edward Moore of Honeybrook, PA.

In addition to her husband "Apples", she was preceded in death by her daughter, Liza Kathleen Batzel who died on Feb. 11, 2012.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp and Gatcha Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. Ann Catholic Church, Main Street at Third Avenue, Phoenixville, at 10 a.m. with Rev. John J. Newns officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.

A viewing will be held in the funeral home from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

Dorigen Clare, 77

Dorigen M. Clare (nee McCutcheon), 77, wife of the late Henry E. Clare, of Audubon, PA, died Saturday evening, Feb. 18, 2012 in her residence at Shannondell.  

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Margaret E. (Wilson) McCutcheon. She was a graduate of the The Agnes Irwin School in Wynnewood, PA. 

Mrs. Clare is survived by three sons:  Robert A., husband of Lorraine Clare of Wayne, PA; John E. Clare of Audubon; Kenneth A., husband of Dana Clare of Olney, MD; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother Christopher McCutcheon of Greenwich, NJ.

A memorial and burial in the Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Shirley Eck, 72

Shirley A. (Davis) Eck, 72, wife of Harold A. Eck Jr., of Phoenixville, PA, died Saturday evening, Feb. 18, 2012 in her home.  

Born in Marsteller, PA, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Sylvia (Boring) Davis.  

Mrs. Eck was a graduate of the Spangler High School in Marsteller. She worked for over 20 years as an inspector for the Diamond Glass Manufacturing Company in Royersford, PA. Mrs. Eck retired in 2011 after 17 years of service at the Thomas Medical Company in Great Valley, PA.  

In addition to her husband of 42 years, Mrs. Eck is survived by four children: Victoria L. Campbell of Phoenixville; Shirley A., wife of Scot Fenstermaker of New Tripoli, PA; Richard A., husband of Kathleen (Erb) Eck of Morgantown, PA; Patricia M., wife of Christopher Wojakowski of South Coventry, PA; three siblings: James Davis, Larue Smeltz and John Boring; three grandchildren: Melissa Hillegass, Michelle Eck and Brandon Campbell; one great-grandson: Zayvion Campbell, and several nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Campbell–Ennis–Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 at 10 a.m.
