Ethel Ravis, 96

Ethel P. Ravis, 96, wife of the late William Ravis, of Phoenixville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 in the Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Perkiomen Junction, PA, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Pearl (Bodnar) Cengeri.

Mrs. Ravis graduated from Phoenixville High School. She was employed for many years at the BF Goodrich Co. in Oaks as a secretary, then worked as a seamstress from her home. Mrs. Ravis was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Phoenixville. Her great loves were her Lord, her husband, her family, and her cooking and sewing.

Mrs. Ravis is survived by two sons, Dr. William R. Ravis, husband of Vicki of Auburn, AL; the Rev. Richard B. Ravis, husband of Patsy of Edison, NJ.; two granddaughters, Nicole Tole and Dr. Julie Sams; five great-grandchildren, Olivia, W. Harrison, Sarah Elizabeth, Jacob and Georgia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Calvary Bible Church, 110 Valley Park Road, Phoenixville, on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Morris Cemetery.

William Glenn, 67

William M. Glenn, 67, of Perkiomenville, PA, died on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011 in Wilkes-Barre VAMC Hospital.

Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Paul and Irene (Bond) Glenn.

Billy was a veteran of the conflict in Vietnam, serving in the United States Army.

He is survived by his beautiful daughters Katie Glenn of Philadelphia and
Heather, wife of Thomas Smith Jr. of Perkiomenville, PA; his grandsons Dylan McDaniel and Alexander Smith of Perkiomenville; his sister Rebecca Mahon of Phoenixville, PA; sister-in-law, Cathy Glenn of Delaware; nieces and nephews, James Mahon of Phoenixville, Shannon Austin and Shawnee Sarchetta of Delaware; his extended family, Angie and Mike Novelli of Pottstown; Lynette Mahon of Phoenixville; his beloved, Margret Hartzell of Perkiomenville.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul R. Glenn.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 517 S. Main St. at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, Nov. 30  at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Pottstown, PA.

A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Michael Kraft, 50

Michael M. Kraft, 50, husband of Tabatha V. (Halladay) Kraft, of Linfield, PA, formerly of Royersford, PA, died suddenly of natural causes at the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, Pottstown, PA on Monday evening, Nov. 21, 2011.  

Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was a son of Martin J. Kraft and the late Margaret (Popious) Kraft. He was a 1979 graduate of the Phoenixville High School.   

By occupation, Mr. Kraft was a registered nurse, that formerly worked at the Montgomery Hospital. More recently, he was working at the Manatawny Manor Nursing Home in East Coventry, PA.  Mr. Kraft was very passionate about helping others often times going above and beyond his call of duty.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Kraft is survived by four children; Michael C., husband of Jacqueline Tinsley of Roxborough; Christian J., husband of  Casey Kraft of Chesterbrook; Kimberly J. Kraft of Philadelphia; Thomas M. Kraft of Linfield; four siblings, John Kraft, Mary Moore, Judy Cress, Martin Kraft and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454 , Alexandria, VA 22312.

Paul Forrest, 82

Paul Joseph Forrest, 82, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse. He was the husband of the late Irene (Smith) Forrest.

He was born in Cork City, Ireland to the late Edward and Catherine (Bradley) Forrest. While in Ireland was a member of the Irish Army Defence Forces, a postman in Cork and pub manager in the United States. He was also associated with the Irish Legion.

After emigrating to the United States, he was associated with the Cape May Emerald Society, The Elks and Ancient Order of Hibernians. He was a talented singer known throughout South Jersey, where he helped make famous the North Wildwood Irish Festival. He was an avid author, bowler, an golfer. He was also a Eucharistic Minister for churches in New Jersey and was the guide to many friends and family on trips to Ireland. He will be lovingly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his daughters Carole, wife of Stephen Malloy of Phoenixville, and Kathleen, wife of James Petack of Oley, PA; step-sons Charles Ganjamie, husband of Susan of Chester, NJ and John Ganjamie, husband of Barbara of Sanatoga, PA; grandchildren Sean, Caitlin, Patricia, Thomas, Karen, David and Kimberly; great-grandchildren John “Jack” IV and David. There are also siblings Rita Roche and Liam Forrest, both of Ireland, and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by siblings: Sean, Eamonn, Charlie, Jimmy, Baby Ann and Baby Liam and step-daughter Joan Crothers.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, and from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at St. Ann's Chapel, Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. John J. Newns officiating.
