Obituary: Services Set For 9-Year-Old Evan St. Clair, Who Died In Weekend Fire

POTTSTOWN, PA — Evan T. St.Clair, age 9, of Pottstown, PA, died tragically in a house fire on Sunday, June 25, 2017. Born on July 12, 2007 in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of Gregory (and Lissa) St.Clair and Tracey (and Daniel) Shaner. He was attending North Coventry Elementary School. Evan enjoyed playing soccer and basically anything else as long as his close friends were there with him. Nerf gun wars, Legos, X-Box, Minecraft, watching impractical jokers and videos on his kindle were just a few of his hobbies. He also enjoyed the time he spent with his nephew, Jack, and friends he met at Oak Creek Campground. Evan was also an avid Denver Broncos fan.
In addition to his parents, Evan is survived by Sister, Kira J. St.Clair; Six Step-Siblings, Dana Ullmann, Kyle Atkins, Jordan Atkins, Erica Atkins, Alexandra Shaner, Cassidee Shaner; Five Grandparents, Linda St.Clair, Jean Ash, James and Linda Elliott, and Carl Shaner.

Friends will be received on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Sunnybrook Ballroom, 50 North Sunnybrook Road, Pottstown, PA from 4:00 - 7:00 pm . The Funeral service will begin promptly at 7:30 pm. Evan's family wishes for people to remember Evan the way he enjoyed life, with that huge smile on his face. His casket will be closed on Sunday. There will be no viewing. Rev. Paul W. Thornhill will officiate. Burial will be held in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, 225 East Schuylkill Road, Pottstown, PA on Monday at 10:30 am. Those that wish to attend the graveside are more than welcome to meet Evan's family in the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations of time or monetary gifts may be made to any pet shelter, wounded warriors or any local veteran's center. Condolences may be made and the video tribute may be viewed by visiting www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com. Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA.
