One Dead After Shooting In Schuylkill Township

One person is dead and another has been hospitalized after a shooting in Schuylkill Township.

SCHUYLKILL TOWNSHIP, PA -- One person has been confirmed dead after a shooting in Schuylkill Township on Monday night, the Chester County District Attorney's Office has confirmed.

One person was also injured and taken to the hospital in what could have been an attempted murder-suicide, the Pottstown Mercury reports.

Shots were heard at around 8 p.m. at a home on Buckwalter Road near Bob's Haven Deli, residents said. Roads remained closed shortly before midnight.

The incident is being investigated as a domestic dispute.

Family members were being notified of the incident on Tuesday, and officials were withholding any further information pending notification of next of kin.
