One Thousand Expected For 'Walk MS' In Phoenixville

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — An upcoming fundraising event in Phoenixville aims to raise $100,000 for people living with multiple sclerosis.

The "Walk MS" event will take place on Sunday, April 29 at 10 a.m. on 198 Bridge Street.

Events across the nation helped raise more than $40 million, while cumulative fundraising totaled around $1 billion, organizers said.

More than a thousand people are expected at events both in Phoenixville and West Chester. The West Chester event will be held on May 6 at 9 a.m. at East Goshen Township Park.

More than 42,000 participants turned out at 42 sites around the country. It's been ongoing since 1988.
