Overnight Lane Closures On U.S. 202 Announced
Guard rail and sign repairs will cause lane closures and traffic stoppages in the coming week, PennDOT said on Friday.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – Travel restrictions will be in place at night next week in both directions on U.S. 202 for construction between the U.S. 30 and Route 401 interchanges in East Whiteland Township, Chester County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Friday.
The work is part of the $63.3 million project to widen and reconstruct two miles of U.S. 202 from north of Route 401 to U.S. 30, and rebuild and improve the Route 401 Interchange, according to a press release.
The schedule is as follows:

- From 8:00 PM Thursday, February 18, to 5:00 AM Friday, February 19, U.S. 202 south will be reduced to one lane between the Route 401 and U.S. 30 interchanges for guide rail and sign repairs;
- On Friday, February 19, from 12:01 AM to 5:00 AM, U.S. 202 north will be reduced to one lane between the U.S. 30 and Route 401 interchanges for guide rail and sign repairs; and
- From 8:00 PM Saturday, February 20, to 5:00 AM Sunday, February 21, U.S. 202 south will be reduced to one lane between the Route 401 and U.S. 30 interchanges, with intermittent 15-minute traffic stoppages Sunday morning for the removal of an overhead sign.
In addition, road reconstruction will continue on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) at the U.S. 202 Interchange in East Whiteland Township. The work may require periodic lane closures and brief stoppages Monday, February 15, through Friday, February 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and on Saturday, February 20, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
All scheduled activities are dependent on the weather.

Motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel and use extra care when driving through the construction zones.
Construction to expand U.S. 202 from north of Route 401 to U.S. 30, including work at the Route 401 Interchange, is being performed by Allan A. Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County. The project is scheduled to finish in late summer 2016.
