The Philly Pretzel Factory in Phoenixville has been closed for several weeks, and no one is quite sure why.

Inquiries to their Facebook page resulted in the comment: “It is closed temporarily. Check back in a few weeks for an update.”

The store is located downtown, on 238 Bridge Street.

Requests for more information from the Philly Pretzel Factory were not immediately answered on Wednesday morning.

Some residents believe the closure could have something to do with the state of the building and its compliance with borough codes. Pigeons are reportedly nesting along its side, and the brick facing is bulging out.

In the meantime, have no fear: another Philly Pretzel Factory is open just a few miles away on 331 Main Street in Collegeville.
