Phoenixville Artist Brad Ferko Donates Stunning Photo Honoring Police
Phoenixville artist Brad Ferko donated this photograph, "Thin Blue Ben," to local police, honoring law enforcement sacrifices in 2016.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Phoenixville artist Brad Ferko recently donated a stunning photograph of the Ben Franklin Bridge to local police, honoring law enforcement sacrifices in 2016.
Police said that the picture, named "Thin Blue Ben," pays homage to the "thin blue line," a symbol used by law enforcement to portray what stands between society and criminals.
The city of Philadelphia lit up the bridge over the summer in the wake of the horrific shootings in Dallas last summer.

The photograph honors the five officers killed and seven wounded in Dallas on July 7, as well as others who sacrificed themselves in the line of duty last year, police said.
The image captures both the light on the bridge and a lightning flash in the distance, just as a storm hit.
