Phoenixville August Health Inspections: Gangster Vegan, Pickering Creek Inn, Colonial Theatre

How did your favorite eatery fare? Here are the latest food inspection reports from the Chester County Health Department.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — With August drawing to a close, it's time to take a glance back at the month's health inspection reports from across the borough.

The Chester County Health Department inspected a total of 13 establishments in Phoenixville this month. A total of 11 of those establishments had violations.

Gangster Vegan led the way with 17 marks against them. Among their violations: reference dates lacking on food containers, chemical spray bottle stored on shelf with napkins, employee lacking proper hair restraint, wet wiping cloths in food prep area, chest freezer unclean, unisex employee restroom lacking waste bin, and other charges.

  • Tony's Family Restaurant, inspected August 24, three violations
  • Despensa San Marcos, inspected August 23, six violations

  • Morrison Management @ Phoenixville Hospital, inspected August 15, three violations
  • Guatemalan Kitchen, inspected August 14, two violations
  • Black Walnut Winery, inspected August 11, one violation
  • Pickering Creek inn, inspected August 10, two violations
  • Yeagers Farm and Market, inspected August 10, one violation
  • Colonial Theatre, inspected August 2, two violations
