Phoenixville Bank Robber ID'd As Borough Resident
The armed man who robbed the Wells Fargo in Phoenixville last week has been identified as a borough resident, police said.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The armed man who robbed the Wells Fargo in Phoenixville last week has been identified as a borough resident, police said.
John Anthony Sheeran, 54, now faces charges of robbery, theft, possessing an instrument of crime, and terroristic threats, authorities said.
The incident occurred on March 1 at around 11:15 a.m. at the bank located on 101 S. Main Street.

Sheeran was wearing a mask and was armed with a knife when he demanded cash from the counter, police said.
A manhunt ensued that day and later that evening Sheeran was arrested.

He was arraigned on March 3 and bail was set at $75,000. He did not post bail and was sent to Chester County Prison.
A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
