Phoenixville Church Continues Fight Against Residents, Builds Fence: Report

A Phoenixville church surveyed its land, found out they owned a small patch being used for parking by a neighbor, and kicked the man off.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- An elderly Phoenixville man is still continuing to fight for his right to park his car on a small piece of church land that is next to his house on 115 Dayton Street, according to a Pottstown Mercury report.

Joseph Natale, 82, had been using the tiny triangle of land to park his car for decades, the report states.

When St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church surveyed the land recently, they kicked Natale off, according to the report.

St. Mary's is also going ahead with plans to continue building fencing around the perimeter of its property, which is having negative effects on many neighbors, the report states.

One neighbor's landscaping business is impacted, while others won't be able to access their parking spots because of the church's fence.

Efforts to reason and compromise with the church have failed and Rev. John Hutter refuses to compromise, according to residents.
