PHOENIXVILLE, PA – The Phoenixville Community Education Foundation (PCEF), a charitable corporation dedicated to improving public education in the Phoenixville area, has announced its annual fundraising event, set for Friday, February 26.

Formerly the Winter Fundraiser, the Phantom Fundraiser raises money to fund learning programs and initiatives that benefit students, teachers, and principals throughout Phoenixville Area School District (PASD).

Parents also look forward to bidding on “priceless” items donated by each of the schools in the district including extra recess passes, principal for a day, and VIP seating for school plays, concerts, and graduations. The event will also feature a wine pull with premium wines from the Napa Valley.

Since its inception, PCEF has donated over $2.5 million to fund educational initiatives both inside and outside the classroom for students throughout PASD. Proceeds from the Phantom Fundraiser help fund programs such as Math 24, Odyssey of the Mind, Stepping Up Summer Literacy Program, Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, Youth & Philanthropy, Pack-a-Backpack, scholarships for pre-school students and graduating seniors, and more.

PCEF also provides funding for teacher and principal mini-grants to support new and innovative learning initiatives in their classrooms and throughout the schools in the district.

A highlight of the event is the “We Do This” showcase, where guests will have the opportunity to meet students and teachers who benefited directly from the generous donations of PCEF.

“PCEF’s mission is to reach every student, from Pre-K to 12th grade,” said Jenn Hahn, Fundraiser Chair. “Through events like the Phantom Fundraiser, and the generous donations of our guests, we look forward to continuing to fund education programs that touch every student in PASD, and empower them to thrive.”
