Phoenixville Community Health Foundation Grants Over $350k to Local Organizations.

It adds to the foundation's total of nearly $2.5 million in local charitable giving this year. See what organizations benefited.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- On March 17, PCHF awarded a select group of grantees a combined amount of $359,800, making for a total this year of $2,474,126.

The awards are broken into three categories: the Level One group provides direct access to health care; the Level Two group addresses the health, human service and quality of life issues for the fragile, disabled and those at risk of falling further behind socially and economically; and the Level Three group focuses on civic, recreation, community and economic development, and non-profit capacity building.

The Level One group received grants totaling $117,000 and included the following organizations: Chester County Health Department, Family Service of Chester County, Fellowship Health Resources, Maternal & Child Health Consortium, and the Visiting Nurse Association of Pottstown and Vicinity. The Level Two group received grants totaling $185,800 and included the following organizations: Bournelyf Special Camp, Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital, Chester County Food Bank, Chester County Futures, Chester County OIC, Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, Friends Association for the Care & Protection of Children, Friends Diving Rescue Unit, Future Leaders Today, Gateway Housing Group, Kelley Ann Dolan Memorial Fund, Meals on Wheels, Mom's House, Penn State Philanthropy Fund on behalf of Chester County 4-H, PA State Police Camp Cadet of Chester County, Phoenixville Area Positive Alternatives, Pottstown Area Senior's Center, St. Vincent DePaul-Sacred heart Conference, Stepping Stone Education Center, Triskeles, Unites for HER, and Variety-The Children's Charity. Lastly, the Level Three group received grants totaling $57,000 and includee the following organizations: Borough of Phoenixville, Phoenixville Community Education Foundation, and the Phoenixville Public Library.
