Phoenixville Couple Asks For Help In Adopting A Child; Receives Incredible Support

Friends and community members have raised more than $20,000 for the couple who needed financial help to adopt after eight miscarriages.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Friends and community members have raised more than $20,000 for the couple who needed financial help to adopt after eight miscarriages.

As of Tuesday, a sum of $20,861 had been raised by 120 people since August 18, according to the GoFundMe page "Room for a family."

The couple, Jasmine and Nate McGready, met in Mississippi while volunteering to help clean up after Hurricane Katrina.

After several attempts to have children, which ultimately resulted in eight miscarriages, the McGreadys decided to adopt.

However, the cost of adoption was prohibitive, and the couple turned to the community for help.
