UPDATE: Phoenixville Crews Battle Egypt Road Blaze

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Crews from the Phoenixville Fire Department were among the responders to a blaze on Egypt Road in Upper Providence on Thursday night.

The fire was reported at a home on the 1300 block of Egypt Road, near Brower Avenue, at about 9:40 p.m., officials said.

No injuries were reported. All residents were safely evacuated from the home.

The home appeared to suffer significant damage to the third floor, where the fire originated. The fire was heavy in the rear of the home, and affected both the second and third floors, according to officials. 

The scene was cleared by 1:30 a.m., the Lower Providence Fire Department said.

The Black Rock Fire Company joined Lower Providence and Phoenixville at the scene.

The exact cause of the blaze is unclear and is currently under investigation, officials said.
