Phoenixville Firebird Festival Launches Fundraiser

Organizers say that the borough's most distinctive festival has reached eleven percent of its fundraising goal.

The Firebird will burn this year.

With the borough’s most distinctive festival approved and its planning stages well underway, event organizers are looking to raise the funds necessary to pull the burning of the Firebird off this year - and maybe get a head start on next year, too.

Thus far, about eleven percent of the goal funding has been raised, or $735 out of a total goal of $7,000. The fundraiser has been underway for eight days and has 53 more days to go.

Commemorative gifts like a Firebird mug, a Firebird canvas print, and of course a Firebird t-shirt are helping to raise money as well.

The final design, shown above, was selected after a vote on several submitted pieces. The winning submission came from Boris Hudak.
