Phoenixville Gets $325K In State Funding for Pothouse Improvements

Phoenixville is the beneficiary of $325,000 is state funding for improvements to Pothouse Road and Route 29.

Governor Wolf has announced a series of investments to support statewide economic development and infrastructure efforts, and several projects in the local area will be impacted.

The projects are funded through the state's Commonwealth Financing Authority, which approved 418 projects totaling $152,414,748 of support on July 1.

“The projects approved today through the Commonwealth Financing Authority are critical to the economic vitality of the state,” Governor Wolf said in a statement. “These impactful investments will support significant community and economic improvements and spark revitalization in Pennsylvania’s communities.”

In Phoenixville, the Multimodal Transportation Fund Project will assist the State Route 29 and Pothouse road improvement project. The project will receive $325,000 in state support

Phoenixville will also be the beneficiary of a grant to improve it's PECO Public Access CNG Station. Clean Energy Inc. will get $215,060 for that project.
