Phoenixville 'Great Duck Race' Enters 21st Year
Are you ready for some duck races, Phoenixville?

Phoenixville, PA -- The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville will hold their 21st Annual “Great Duck Race” on Sunday, July 10 at the covered bridge on Rapps Dam Road.
The ducks will be dumped into the water of French Creek to begin their swim at 2:00.
Each duck will contain a ticket stub and the first duck to cross the finish line will win $1,000. There are nine additional cash prizes ranging from $50 to $500, according to a press release from the club.

The public is invited to come and watch the race. Parking is available near the covered bridge.
There is additional parking at the Armory or the East Pikeland Township Building on Rapps Dam Road. Those who wish to attend are reminded that Rapps Dam Road is closed between Route 23 and Camp Council Road, so access is from Route 113.

The cost of a ticket is $5.00 and tickets may be purchased from any Kiwanian. In addition, the Kiwanis Club will be selling tickets on Bridge Street during the Blob Fest on Saturday, July 9.
The popular Duck Pond that was first opened at Dogwood will also be at the Blob Fest. For $1.00 children can pick 3 ducks and there is a prize every time, the Kiwanis Club said.
