Phoenixville Health Inspections: 13 Violators Over Past 6 Weeks

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The Chester County Health Department inspected 19 Phoenixville area establishments since the beginning of August.

Of those establishments, 13 had violations of some kind.

King Chef Restaurant, on 278 Schuylkill Road, led the way with seven violations. Among their infractions included unsanitary storage of knives, bag of rice left open, uncovered food stored in freezer, food prep sink unclean, filled bowls stacked on top of one another, ice built up in freezer, and food debris under shelves.

  • Taste, inspected Sept. 13, one violation
  • Artisans Gallery and Cafe, inspected Sept. 11, four violations
  • Whitsons @ Barkley, inspected Sept. 11, one violation
  • Majolica, inspected Sept. 7, one violation
  • Sand Island Ice, inspected Sept. 7, one violation
  • King Chef Restaurant, inspected Sept. 7, seven violations
  • Pickering Creek Inn, inspected Aug. 20, four violations
  • Gamers Heaven, inspected Aug. 17, three violations
  • New Tea Garden Restaurant, inspected Aug. 17, eight violations
  • California Tortilla, inspected Aug. 15, two violations
  • Guatemalan Kitchen, inspected Aug. 10, one violation
  • Tony's Family Restaurant, inspected Aug. 10, four violations
  • Despensa San Marcos, inspected Aug. 3, four violations
