Congratulations!

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The proud Phantoms producing the Purple Press were rewarded for their efforts this week by a statewide organization.

The Pennsylvania School Press Association (PSPA) Phoenixville Area High School's school newspaper a "gold award" for their excellent work during the 2016-2017 school year.

"This is a very colorful, creative, well written publication that speaks with a clear voice on social justice issues, local news, and relevant school events," a judge wrote in the assessment of the Purple Press. "The newspaper does a great job of focusing attention on the students and praising their accomplishments in areas beyond just academics and sports. The pictures are beautifully formatted and demonstrate a student body that appreciates its diversity. The addition of the horoscope section and self-assessment quizzes (i.e.: What Hollywood Diva are You?) are fun, entertaining content."
