After Teen's Killing, Phoenixville To Host Community Peace Vigil

In the wake of the slaying of a Phoenixville teenager this week, a Community Peace Vigil will be held in January.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A "Community Peace Vigil" will be held in Phoenixville in January in the wake of the recent slaying of a local teenager.

The event is being put together by a local organization, Diversity in Action - Phoenixville.

"This time of divisiveness and seeming lack of compassion for neighbors near and far can cause spiritual distress," organizers wrote. "At this inclusive, interfaith vigil, we’ll stand together, as neighbors and friends, to strengthen the fabric that connects us all. Prayers, music, including PAHS's Vocal Fusion, and inspired readings will support us as we reimagine a better future for ourselves and our community."
